Colchester midfielder Sean Murray begins ban against Barnet
Colchester will be without suspended midfielder Sean Murray for the visit of Barnet.
Murray, a deadline day signing from Swindon, was shown a straight red card in the closing moments of the 1-1 draw at Blackpool, so starts a three-match ban.
Full-back Matt Briggs is looking to retain his place having made a long-awaited return from a hip problem, while striker Rekeil Pyke could be in contention for a debut having been on the bench after his loan move from Huddersfield.
Midfielder Doug Loft is closing in on a return from his Achilles tendon problem, while left-back Lewis Kinsella (foot), forward Sammie Szmodics (ankle) and club captain Luke Prosser (knee) all continue their rehabilitation.
Barnet will still be without striker Simeon Akinola as he serves the second match of his three-match suspension.
Midfielder Jack Taylor is unavailable through injury while Luke Coulson is pushing for a start after being dropped last time out.
Jamie Stephens (calf) is edging closer to a return to action.
Michael Gash (knee), Shaun Batt (hamstring) and James Pearson (knee) have been ruled out for the rest of the season.
