Tom Lapslie to miss Accrington visit
Colchester midfielder Tom Lapslie is set to miss the visit of Accrington after having a scan on an ankle injury during the week.
Head coach John McGreal confirmed that the 20-year-old will be out for a number of weeks after picking up the injury during the 3-2 win over Blackpool.
Frankie Kent (knee) will feature for their Under-23 development side next week but will miss Saturday's match.
Owen Garvan (leg), Doug Loft (achilles), Matt Briggs (hip) and Louis Dunne (ankle) are all long-term absentees for McGreal's side.
Accrington will look to build on their impressive performance against West Ham in the EFL Cup, where they were denied by an stoppage-time Dimitri Payet free-kick.
Shay McCartan has missed Stanley's last three matches with a dead leg and will hope to return.
Matty Pearson needed treatment for a cut eye against the Hammers but was able to continue and should be available.
Accrington have won their last two league games after a disappointing start to the season and will hope to climb into the top half of the Sky Bet League Two table.
