Coker eyes loan stay

Colchester left-back Ben Coker is looking to extend his loan deal at non-league side Chelmsford City. The 21-year-old's two-month stay at the Clarets has expired but he wants to stay for another month to help him push for a first-team place with the Us towards the end of the current campaign. United manager John Ward is likely to grant an extension as the Essex side have extended their loan of left-sided defender Tom Williams from Championship side Bristol City until the end of the year. Coker told the Green'Un: "It's been a really good experience. I've been getting some good feedback from both managers and if the two clubs were agreeable then I'd be happy to stay there until January so I can keep playing football every week. "The aim is to break into the Colchester first-team squad by the end of the season."
