Colchester youngster Ben Coker has joined Blue Square South club Chelmsford City on a one-month loan deal. The summer signing from non-league Bury Town has only recently recovered from the ankle injury he suffered in pre-season and needs to build up his match fitness. Us manager John Ward said: "We've allowed Ben to go out on loan and I'm happy for him to do that. "It will help them, it will help Ben and it will help us. "He's a developing player and I think he can do well." Coker could make his Chelmsford debut against Maidenhead United on Saturday.
