Boss `content` with start

Colchester manager John Ward has declared himself "content" with his first month in charge. The Us currently lie fifth in League One after an unbeaten start to the campaign, but Ward insists there will be no let-up with tough matches against Plymouth and Southampton up next. "The word I use is content at the moment, but I'm not foolish enough to sit back and say everything is okay," he said. "We'll have a lot of battling games to come and we have a major test in the next two fixtures." Ward has been boosted by the news goalkeeper Ben Williams and defenders Paul Reid and Ben Coker came through their comebacks from injury in the reserves unscathed.
