Boothroyd advocates winter break

United had their home game with Carlisle called off last week due to the cold snap and Boothroyd has now reopened the debate over a festive break.[LNB]"I think a winter break would be a good idea," he told the Daily Gazette. "Most teams in Europe do it - we're only talking about two weeks.[LNB]"I think it would be a sensible thing to do but we have the tradition of playing at Christmas. If you're a Col U fan, you put the ice pack on your head on Boxing Day after the festivities of the night before and you go along to watch your team play.[LNB]"You get some cold air in your lungs and then come home and start all over again.[LNB]"I don't think that we can disrupt the tradition of our football. But at the same time, sometimes common sense dictates that you should probably do that."[LNB][LNB]
