Bond back for Us

23 December 2010 11:00
Marc Tierney and Andy Bond are back in the Colchester squad for the trip to play-off rivals Peterborough. Defender Tierney and midfielder Bond both underwent hernia operations three weeks ago but have made quick recoveries. Tierney will challenge Bristol City loanee and former Posh player Tom Williams for the left-back slot while Anthony Wordsworth could make way for Bond. Defender Magnus Okuonghae is still on the sidelines with an ankle injury so Pat Baldwin continues at centre-half. Steven Gillespie (thigh) and Simon Hackney (back) are not match fit and long-term absentees John-Joe O'Toole and Morten Knudsen (both knee) are still missing, although both played an hour in a recent practice game to step up their recoveries.
