Away form has cost us - Ward
Colchester boss John Ward admits his side's away form has all but cost them a chance of reaching the play-offs this season.
Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday was their 10th reverse on the road this season and leaves them nine points adrift of the top six with six games remaining.
"We played some decent football against a big physical side," said Ward.
"The disappointment is that we haven't got at least a point from the game.
"Unfortunately that labels our away record over a period of time as not very good."
