Queens Park 4-0 Clyde: Report

05 March 2011 19:14
Queens back in contention after rout A convincing 4-0 victory over Clyde saw Queens Park move back into the play-off positions - a result that saw Clyde remain rooted to the bottom of the Third Division. Queens Park's early pressure saw David Murray score twice in quick succession to put the home side in control. The first was a smart strike with his left foot, before he converted David Anderson's cross to make it two after just 15 minutes. This early dominance forced Clyde into a tactical switch, with Gavin Brown replaced by Ian Gray, but it was to no avail as Ian Watt then extended the lead before the break, slamming home a cross from Anderson. Things got worse for the visitors after the break when, on 51 minutes, Jamie Longworth pounced from close range to finally get his name on the scoresheet and cap a convincing performance from the home side.
