McCluskey may miss Montrose match

Clyde striker Stefan McCluskey is struggling to be fit for the visit of Montrose.

McCluskey has been ill and could join a lengthy list of absentees on the sidelines if he fails a Saturday morning check.

The Bully Wee are already missing Michael Oliver (knee), David Marsh (groin), Gavin Brown (ankle), Gary Graham (knee) and Stuart McColm (ankle) while Kevin Nicol is also a major doubt with a hamstring problem.

The Broadwood side lost 2-0 to Rangers last week and despite the scoreline manager Jim Duffy is looking for more of the same.

He said: "The players dug in and worked incredibly hard in that game and if they show the same level of application against Montrose then I am sure we will do okay."

On-loan goalkeeper John Gibson will miss out for Montrose.

The Dundee stopper has a shoulder problem and could be joined on the sidelines by influential midfielder Jamie Winter, who has only a 50/50 chance of playing at Broadwood.

However, there is some good news for manager Stuart Garden as left-sided midfielder Ricky McIntosh is available after a knock.

Ahead of the game Garden said: "We have dropped out of the play-off places after losing to Elgin last Saturday in a game that we should not have lost. All we can do now is win our games and see where we end up.

"Clyde have been going well recently so this will be a tough contest but all we can do is win. Elgin and Berwick play each other but we have to take care of ourselves first of all."
