Clyde missing key men ahead of East Fife visit

Clyde are without a handful of players as they attempt to stop East Fife from lifting the League Two title at Broadwood.

Scott Linton is unavailable as he is attending his sister's wedding while Jon-Paul McGovern, Scott Ferguson and Brian McQueen are out due to knee injuries, with John Gemmell also a doubt as well.

"We have slipped back in recent weeks however this is the perfect game to put on a performance that everyone can be proud of," said Clyde manager Barry Ferguson.

"We managed to defeat East Fife at our place just before Christmas and achieving the same result would move us to within four points of them and keep us very much in a play-off place."

East Fife, seven points clear at the top of the table, have a clean bill of health with player/manager Gary Naysmith and Stevie Campbell declaring themselves fit after picking up knocks in last Saturday's 3-0 win over Montrose.

A win would see the Bayview men crowned champions but Naysmith is remaining calm.

He said: "We have prepared in the same way we have all season. There is no reason to change anything and that will be our approach to the game as well.

"We have attacked teams all season and that is what we will do at Broadwood. Clyde have a strong squad and have plenty to play for themselves so it will be a difficult game."
