Defensive worries for Duffy

Clyde manager Jim Duffy will need to re-arrange his defence against Berwick Rangers as Gavin Brown will miss out due to a hamstring injury and Iain Gray is struggling with tonsillitis.

There could be a further absentee as Duffy is bracing himself for Airdrie United to confirm that they want recall the on-loan Ricky Lamie.

Duffy said: "It could be that three of the four defenders who did a good job against Rangers in midweek will be missing which is not ideal. The last three games have seen us play the same starting line-up which has brought a level of consistency which has been good.

"We will need to make our changes and look to get the win that would pull us level with Berwick."

Berwick are without long-term injury victim Dene Droudge, who has a knee problem, and Marc Lancaster who is struggling with a back injury.

The Borderers have been waiting for a fortnight to get back into action after a disappointing 6-3 defeat against bottom side Stirling Albion.

"That game still rankles as we were very poor defensively," manager Ian Little said. "We have to trust that the players have listened and learned from that game and the Clyde contest will tell us if that is the case.

"We want to get back into the play-off race and we need to get wins and points on board to do that. Hopefully we can begin doing that at Broadwood but we cannot just turn up and win."
