McManus injury has Clyde snookered

Clyde are missing Scott McManus due to a knee injury when they host Annan looking for the win that would boost their promotion hopes.

Barry Ferguson's side go into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Montrose which has lifted them to within six points of their fourth-placed opponents.

The Bully Wee's boss is delighted that his moves in the January transfer window have paid off.

Ferguson said: "I brought in experience and it is paying off in games and in training.

"We showed great composure and patience to get Saturday's win but we know that Annan will pose a greater threat going forward than Montrose did."

Annan's Steven Swinglehurst suffered a knee injury in the 2-1 defeat at East Fife on Saturday and he joins Matty Flynn (ankle), Stuart McColm (heel) and Ryan McStay (knee) in missing out.

Manager Jim Chapman is looking for his men to deliver at a consistently high level to defeat their hosts.

He said: "For the majority of the game we played really at Bayview. However we switched off in the last 25 minutes and went from winning to losing.

"We are capable of getting good results if we play like we can for an entire game and to do anything against Clyde that is what we need to do."
