Clyde V Annan Athletic at Broadwood Stadium : Match Preview

31 August 2012 16:25
New boy Fitzharris vying for debut Clyde have added new signing Sean Fitzharris to their squad as they face Annan in what will be first game played on the new artificial surface at Broadwood. The former Celtic, Morton and Stenhousemuir winger will be looking to make his debut, while Stevie Masterton has converted his trial into a short-term deal and Bryan Gilfillan returns after injury. However, Stefan McCluskey is struggling with a hamstring problem. Bully Wee boss Jim Duffy said: "When we turn up for the game it will be our first look at the new pitch, which is not ideal but we will just have to get on with things. "It was great to win last week at Stirling as the more points we get on board just now the better a season we will have." Annan have injury doubts at both ends of the pitch. Goalkeeper Craig Summersgill is struggling to make it while the attacking trio of Graeme Bell, David Murray and Michael Daly also face a fitness race. The Galabankies head to Cumbernauld after a goalless draw with Montrose last weekend. Manager Harry Cairney said: "It was good to keep a clean sheet for the first time this season and, despite having a few strikers doubtful, I am looking for us to offer more of an attacking threat this week. "Our record at Broadwood is quite a decent one and it would be great to keep that going and record our first away win of the season."
