Pollock sits out derby thriller

Clyde are unable to field on-loan Albion midfielder Jamie Pollock in their home game against his title-chasing parent club.

Scott McLaughlin (broken arm) and Paul Slane (illness) are also missing for the Bully Wee and despite returning to training this week Jamie Barclay, Keighan Parker and Scott Ferguson are all expected to sit this game out.

Manager Barry Ferguson said: "This is a derby game and when you consider that Albion Rovers will be going for the league, and we will be going for the win that keeps us in the chase for the play-offs, it should be an exciting afternoon."

The Coatbridge men will be crowned champions if they take three points and Queen's Park fail to win at Arbroath.

Defender Mick Dunlop is the only absentee from player/manager Darren Young's squad due to a ban.

Young said: "We will simply go out and look to win the game and see what happens.

"We went to East Fife last weekend and never played well enough in the first half to get on top, so I am looking for a much better start in this game.

"Clyde have something to play for as well, so we will need to be resolute at the back and dangerous up front."
