Clyde return for ex youth chief

Former head of youth development Alan Upton has returned to First Division club Clyde as operations manager.Clyde were shocked to lose Upton to Third Division outfit East Stirlingshire last June.Upton became reserve team coach under Gordon Wylde, but he has since been succeeded by Jim McInally.On his return to the Cumbernauld club, Upton will work with present head of youth Gary Bollan and school of football coach Peter Smith.Director John Ruddy told Clyde's website: "All of this is further evidence of us building up the infrastructure at Clyde further so that we can go from strength to strength and start producing youngsters on a regular basis for the first team."
