Clyde are in like Flynn on the opening day

Matt Flynn's first goal for Clyde gave his side a first win of the season as they triumphed 2-1 over Montrose in Ladbrokes League Two.

Barry Ferguson's side were without a win in their two Betfred Cup games this campaign, but took the lead shortly before the half-hour through Dylan Easton.

The midfielder struck spectacularly from 30 yards to leave Jordan Millar stranded in the Montrose goal, giving the Bully Wee the lead.

The Gable Endies were deservedly level after the break after Graham Webster's cross found Chris Templeman unmarked inside the area and the striker headed in.

However, Flynn was on hand to finish off a fine team move with 15 minutes remaining to give Clyde a winning start.
