Clyde end drought

Bottom-of-the-table Clyde claimed their first win in seven games with a 2-0 victory at home to play-off hopefuls Peterhead.

Victory leaves them just one point adrift at the foot of the Scottish Third Division.

After a quiet opening half, Clyde took the lead in the 64th minute. Patrick Scullion knocked the ball across the area and Kevin Watt was on hand to head home from six yards.

They maintained their dominance throughout much of the second half, and delighted the home crowd by winning a penalty in the 82nd minute.

Peterhead's Ryan Strachan fouled Kieran McGachie in the penalty area and was subsequently sent off.

Midfielder John Sweeney confidently stepped up to the spot, and cooly dispatched his penalty into the bottom-right corner of the goal.
