Clyde remain rooted

Clyde remain bottom of Scottish League Two after a 1-1 draw with Annan.

Alan Martin made a fine save to deny Peter Weatherson an opener for the visitors, who then fell behind six minutes before half-time.

Euan Smith took advantage of some poor defending to fire Clyde, whose player-manager Barry Ferguson made his debut, into a 1-0 lead at the interval.

However, after former Scotland midfielder Ferguson went off, Annan levelled up four minutes later from the penalty spot.

Substitute Derek Carcary was fouled in the box and Weatherson slotted home from 12 yards.

Clyde wasted a great chance to secure their first win since the start of August when Scott McManus somehow fired over the top in the 75th minute.
