MacDonald wins it for Clyde

Kieran MacDonald netted the only goal of the game as Clyde moved up to second thanks to a 1-0 victory over East Stirling.

The left-back popped up nine minutes into the second half to strike the decisive goal in a scrappy encounter at Broadwood Stadium.

Clyde began the day in third but only four points ahead of their sixth-placed opponents and chances were at a premium between two evenly-matched sides in the first half.

David Greenhill failed to hit the target from close range for the visitors while Brian McQueen headed over the bar at the other end.

But soon in the second half, MacDonald finished off a well-worked move with a low finish from the left.

Christopher Townsley went close to a leveller before Maxwell Wright was denied by Jamie Barclay in stoppage time as Clyde held on to move above Annan.
