Peterhead win title

Peterhead are champions of Scottish League Two after a 2-0 win over Clyde meant that second-placed Annan could not catch them.

Andrew Rodgers put the Blue Toon into a first-half lead after firing Jordan Brown's pass past Clyde's Jamie Barclay.

The hosts did threaten as Patrick Scullion found space in the penalty area, pulling his shot wide to the right of the goal and Kieran MacDonald also fired wide for the home side.

But Rory McAllister doubled his side's lead with his 29th goal of the season to put the champagne on ice.

Clyde got a penalty in the dying embers of the game, but MacDonald's effort was saved by Peterhead goalkeeper Graeme Smith and the title was sealed.
