Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa has dropped five players from his provisional squad for the World Cup finals following their 1-0 friendly defeat to Mexico.
All five players are midfielders with Manuel Iturra (Universidad de Chile), Pedro Morales (Dinamo Zagreb), Jaime Valdes (Atalanta) and Colo Colo duo Charles Aranguiz and Jose Pedro Fuenzalida all deemed surplus to requirement.
Iturra's exclusion comes after he was sent off just two minutes after coming on as a substitute in their defeat to El Tri in Mexico City.
Bielsa has now reduced his squad to 25 players with two more to miss out when the final lists are named on June 1.
