Chievo: Pellissier not for sale

Chievo head coach Domenico Di Carlo has again stated that star striker Sergio Pellissier is not for sale, following a recent approach from Napoli.

The 31-year-old, who recently scored on his international debut for Italy against Northern Ireland, still has several years of his contract with the Flying Donkeys to run and Di Carlo is in no mood to sell.

He commented: "Pellissier isn't going anywhere, but the transfer market is crazy sometimes.

"I am sure that if he was to stay with us he would be scoring goals galore next year."

Pellissier himself had earlier said: "Other clubs have showed they are interested me and I must thank Napoli for being so kind as to call me.

"But I have another four years on my deal with Chievo and I don't want to leave them on bad terms.

"If I did go then I would feel quite sad and it seems Chievo don't want to sell me."
