Yates: Chesterfield hurt us
Mark Yates was relieved to only be walking away from the b2net stadium on the end of a 3-0 defeat after watching Chesterfield hand Cheltenham a masterclass in football. The Spireites have now won all of their home games this term - with Cheltenham the only other team in the division to do so - and have scored 11 goals while conceding just twice in the process to sit third in League Two.Also boasting an unbeaten away record, John Sheridan`s side are looking like early promotion candidates. And Yates is honest enough to hold his hands up after such a defeat. He said: "My lads will give most teams a game and we started off okay and limited them, but once they scored their confidence went up and we found it difficult. We had a few chances in the first half and should have done better but in the end, I am probably happy it was only 3-0."We tried to keep playing but they were better with the ball and better without it. They caused us problems, they made us go backwards and put us under good pressure. They have got an array of players who can hurt you."Meanwhile, Cheltenham have struck a three-year sponsorship deal with local business advisers and chartered accountants Hazlewoods, which will see the former Carlsberg Stand at Whaddon Road renamed The Hazlewoods Stand.
