Tribunal rules on Kovacs fee

Chesterfield will receive £17,500 from Lincoln City for defender Janos Kovacs, a Football League tribunal has decided.

It has also been agreed that the Spireites will receive a 20 per cent sell-on fee for the 22-year-old Hungarian, who made 62 appearances for the club.

"Although the figure was higher than our offer we accept the findings of the panel and look forward to Janos developing into one of the best defenders in the division," said Lincoln's chairman Steff Wright.

Manager Peter Jackson added: "It's the bargain of the season!"
