Spireites turn to Knill

Chesterfield caretaker-manager Lee Richardson has drafted former Rotherham United boss Alan Knill into Saltergate in a bid to help the club avoid relegation.
The Spireites slipped further into relegation trouble after a 2-0 defeat at Swansea City on Friday night and Knill - who was sacked by the Millers earlier in the month - has been drafted in to bolster the backroom staff.
"Avoiding relegation will be down to a team effort so I am delighted that Alan, who is a young bright coach, is joining our backroom team to support me during a crucial time," Richardson told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, on the defeat to Swansea, he added: "When confidence is low there's an element of panic about the efforts at goal.
"Doncaster at home (on Wednesday night) is a massive game and it looks like we have lost a couple of bodies.
"Charlie Daniels will go back to Spurs and it looks like he will be out for the season with knee ligament damage.
"There is also bad news for Gareth Davies who looks to have picked up a nasty shin injury.
"It now looks as though we will have to do something quickly. I was lining up a couple of players and now need to get into overdrive to supplement the squad before the emergency loan deadline."
