Chesterfield are adamant that they will not sanction a deal to allow forward Jamie Ward to leave Saltergate this summer.
The 22-year-old is a target for several higher-division clubs, including Scunthorpe United and Northampton Town.
Spireites chairman Barrie Hubbard commented: "There have been no offers, not one. As far as I am concerned there have been no enquiries.
"I have no intention of allowing Jamie Ward to leave Chesterfield FC. As far as I am concerned, he is stopping here."
Ward joined Chesterfield in January 2007 from Torquay United and has scored 15 goals in 45 appearances for Lee Richardson's side.
