Spireites set Shaw free

Veteran striker Paul Shaw has left Chesterfield after falling down the pecking order at Saltergate.
The 33-year-old joined the Spireites from Rotherham United in the summer of 2006, but has seen his chances limited by the arrivals of Steve Fletcher and Jack Lester.
Boss Lee Richardson said: "Paul is an experienced player, but there are currently limited opportunities for him, so it seemed best all round for us to reach a settlement on his contract."
Shaw himself added: "I fully understand the situation and, although I am disappointed, I didn't fulfil want I wanted to achieve at Chesterfield.
"I wish the club well and am now looking forward to progressing my career elsewhere."
