Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson is targeting a new goalkeeper and striker in the remainder of the transfer window.
A striker is not a priority despite the loss of Jamie Ward who has joined Sheffield United, but Richardson is seeking competition for places.
Martin Gritton has already arrived at Saltergate from Macclesfield to fill the void left by the departed Ward, scoring on his debut from the bench.
However, Tommy Lee is the only professional goalkeeper at the club since Trevor Carson's loan period ended and the boss confirmed he is actively seeking cover.
Richardson told the Sheffield Star: "We are looking this week for another keeper, but I've nothing to say at the moment about where we're looking or who we're looking at."
