Spireites release Santos

Chesterfield have decided to release veteran defender George Santos following a short stint with the League Two club.
The 37-year-old initially joined the Spireites for pre-season training during the summer and remained at the club on non-contract terms.
However, after failing to make a first-team appearance, the former Tranmere Rovers, Sheffield United and Ipswich Town defender has now been released.
Santos spent last season with Brighton & Hove Albion and was loaned out to Conference side Oxford United before being given a free transfer in the summer.
