Ambitious Chesterfield have snared former Luton Town defender Alan Goodall on a two-year contract.
The Spireites have already snapped up Darren Currie, Tommy Lee, Paul Harsley, Danny Hall and Kevin Austin this summer, as boss Lee Richardson aims to improve on last term's eighth-placed finish.
Twenty-six-year-old Goodall impressed Richardson with his performances in two pre-season games for the club.
Goodall made 36 appearances for the Hatters last term after spending the previous three campaigns with Rochdale.
