    Spireites bring in Annerson

    08 Mar 2008 - 10:46:09

Chesterfield have signed Sheffield United goalkeeper Jamie Annerson on a month's loan, having allowed Michael Jordan to leave the club.

The 19-year-old has yet to feature for the Blades first-team, with his only senior appearance coming during a loan spell with Rotherham United earlier this season.

Spireites boss Lee Richardson told the club's official website: "Jamie is a highly-rated young goalkeeper who I expect will provide extra competition."

Richardson had previously allowed former Arsenal trainee Jordan to exit Saltergate after he became frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities.

"We have allowed Michael to leave at this time to give him an early opportunity of finding another club," Richardson added. "We thank him for his time at Chesterfield and wish him all the best for the future."

Jordan had made seven appearances for Chesterfield in an 18-month spell with the League Two club.
