Spireites swoop for keeper Caig

Chesterfield have signed experienced former Newcastle and Carlisle keeper Tony Caig on a short-term deal, subject to international clearance. The 34-year old has most recently been playing in America with Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo and United Soccer League side Vancouver Whitecaps. He has joined to provide backup for current number one keeper Tommy Lee. Boss Lee Richardson said: "Tony has a wealth of experience and is happy to come for a spell to support Tommy."
