Spireites shuffle as they target promotion

Chesterfield manager John Sheridan will shuffle his pack for the two Bank Holiday fixtures, starting with the trip to Oxford. The league leaders travel to the Kassam Stadium looking for the victory that would seal their promotion. However, they could already be up by the time they kick-off on Saturday afternoon should either Wycombe or Shrewsbury fail to win. Wycombe are away at Torquay on Friday night while Shrewsbury travel to Hereford in an early start the following day. With second-placed Bury at the b2net Stadium on Monday, Sheridan will rotate his squad for the two games. Veteran striker Jack Lester is unlikely to start both. Fellow 30-somethings Mark Allott, Dean Holden, Ian Breckin and Danny Whitaker could also be used more sparingly. That could see Derek Niven, Ian Morris, Kieran Djilali and Scott Boden come into contention.
