Chesterfield are expected to announce their new manager at a press conference at 1200 BST on Tuesday. Former Oldham boss John Sheridan is believed to be among the front runners, following the departure of Lee Richardson last month. The former Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder left the Latics in March after almost three years in charge at Boundary Park. Chesterfield chairman Dave Allen has promised to invest £4m in the club.
