Chesterfield maintained their 100% home record as goals from Dwayne Mattis and Craig Davies gave them a 2-1 victory over Lincoln. Mattis headed his fourth of the season and Davies netted his first at home before Ben Hutchinson replied late on. Lincoln had been the better side for much of the first half but they were caught out when Chesterfield forced their first corner in the 36th minute. It was taken short to Dean Morgan whose cross was glanced inside Joe Anyon's left hand post by the head of Mattis. A corner at the other end almost saw Lincoln level in first-half stoppage time but Ian Pearce's header was blocked on the line by Mark Allott. Chesterfield tightened their grip on the game in the 63rd minute when a superb pass from Jack Lester sent in Davies for his second goal in eight days. Hutchinson scored with a shot off the underside off the bar in the 89th minute but it was too little, too late for Lincoln.
