Chesterfield`s home game against Torquay United on Saturday is in doubt due to the amount of snow and ice at the b2net Stadium. The club remain keen to fulfil the fixture and have put out a call to local volunteers to help shovel snow, but the final decision will be made after a pitch inspection on Friday morning at 10am. In a statement on the club`s official website, Chesterfield`s stadium manager Colin Nellist said: "Despite the unprecedented snow levels we are keen to get the game on, but the timing of any snow shifting is crucial. "Move it too soon and more frost will get onto the pitch, leave it too late and we may not have time to complete the job. "The state of the roads and pavement around the stadium needs also needs to be taken into consideration."
