Smalley back as Spireites end away run

Deane Smalley returns from suspension as Chesterfield complete a run of four successive away league games with a trip to Bradford. Smalley was absent as the league leaders halted a five-match winless run with victory over Lincoln on Saturday. But he comes back into the reckoning to partner leading scorer Craig Davies in attack. Simon Ford is a doubt after he was forced off with a knock at Sincil Bank. Danny Whitaker replaced him against the Imps and the midfielder could fill in at centre-half, as he has several times this season, if Ford is unavailable. Boss John Sheridan hopes to have on-loan defender Javan Vidal (virus) and midfielders Mark Allott (ankle) and Dwayne Mattis (calf) available after they missed out at the weekend.
