Sheridan backs Boden to shine
Chesterfield boss John Sheridan tipped substitute Scott Boden for a bright future after his point-saving equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Morecambe. The young striker came on for the last 20 minutes and missed a glorious chance before slotting home a Dean Morgan cross to salvage a point for his team.It was a cruel blow for Sammy McIlroy's side who looked destined to pick up their first win of the season after a goal from debutant Scott Brown after 25 minutes had given them the lead.Sheridan said: "Chris is a good player and we know what he can do. At the minute he seems to be making his mark as an impact substitute and doesn't always seem to produce quite as much when he starts games. But that will change as he develops and I was really pleased with his efforts in this game."He added: "I think a draw was a fair result in the end because we were really poor in the first half. We started very slowly but full credit to the lads, they came back into the game and I think a draw was a fair result."Morecambe are a decent side and they are in a false position so a draw is a decent result. They are a big strong, awkward outfit and they caused us problems but I thought once we got one we could go on and win it because we had the momentum."
