Sheridan salutes super Spireites

Sheridan's side played the best part of 50 minutes with only 10 men following Frankie Artus' first-half dismissal, but Martin Gritton's 18th-minute strike proved enough to earn a rare away win that fired the Spireites into the play-off places.[LNB]"To come to a place like Morecambe and to get a result with only 10 men for more than half a game is very satisfying," said Sheridan.[LNB]"We have a lot of injuries at the moment and to get such a good start was a real boost because it meant that when we went down to 10 men we had something to keep hold of and it was a great battling performance.[LNB]"Morecambe had one or two half chances but defensively I thought we were outstanding. When you play against a team like Morecambe away from home with 10 men it's always going to be hard so the players deserve a great deal of credit."[LNB][LNB]
