Sheridan quiet over Spireites post
National newspaper reports claimed the 44-year-old former Republic of Ireland international was the number one choice to succeed Lee Richardson, whose contract was not renewed at the end of the season.
But although Sheridan confirmed he is looking to return to management, he refused to comment on the Chesterfield job.
Sheridan said: "I'm aware of the speculation and I am looking to get back in, but I'm not in a position to comment on specific job vacancies."
