Sheridan hails return to `winning ways'

Chesterfield manager John Sheridan was glad to get back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over in-form Lincoln. Lincoln goalkeeper Trevor Carson's error allowed Craig Davies to pass into the net but made up for his error when he saved a penalty from the same player. Dean Holden fired home a second goal late on as the Spireites won for the first time in six games. Sheridan said: "I thought we were excellent, Lincoln made it a very tough game for us and were always going to be a big threat but I thought we dominated the game. "The first goal gave us a high. It was unfortunate for their keeper but Craig Davies was right in there and kept calm. Craig is always hustling and bustling and if you do that the chances fall for you. "We looked comfortable, we passed the ball and we dominated the game. "It was a tough game and it was good to get a positive result. The teams in this league are evenly matched. Anyone can beat anyone else and I'm just concentrating on us winning as many games as possible."
