Sheridan backs Davies to rediscover Midas touch

Chesterfield boss John Sheridan hopes Craig Davies has rediscovered his goal scoring touch. Davies netted for the 16th time this season, but for the first time since New Year's Day, when he gave the Spireites the lead during the 1-1 draw at Bury on Tuesday night. Sheridan said: "I am very pleased that Craig is back scoring as he has been working his socks off. Because of his endeavour he got his reward the other night and I am delighted. "Hopefully, people will get behind him again and he will start doing what he was doing at the start of the season. "Only a month ago he was the best player in the division and we want him back at his best."
