Sheridan apologetic after 5-0 reverse
The result was a clear setback for Chesterfield's play-off hopes although they still remain fifth despite suffering a second consecutive loss, leaving Sheridan to stress he never wants to see a similar showing from his side ever again.[LNB]"That performance should never happen with the position we are in," he said. "I'm struggling to find the words to say how I feel but it's important that we get our act together because we are still in a good position.[LNB]"But they bullied us all over the pitch and I've got to hold my hands up and say that from one to 11 we were outplayed. I don't want to see that happen again while I am here.[LNB]"I'm hoping that what will come out of this is that it will give us a kick up the backside. I have told the players how I feel and I want them to feel bad.[LNB]"I apologise (to the fans). I will always stick up for my players but I can't stick up for them after that. It was one of those days when none of us were at the races. We have got one of the best home records in the division so to get beaten 5-0 is a bit of a disaster."[LNB][LNB]
