Chesterfield midfielder Gregor Robertson will definitely miss the rest of the season after suffering a double fracture of his left leg in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash defeat by Carlisle United.
The 25-year-old Scotsman was injured in a clash with the Cumbrians' Tom Taiwo and stretchered off, before being taken to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital for treatment.
Robertson was kept in overnight and underwent corrective surgery on Wednesday.
Assistant manager Tommy Wright said: "Gregor has done well since we arrived here in the summer. He is a good footballer.
"We will give him all the help and support he needs to get him back playing again."
