Richardson enjoys victory

Chesterfield assistant manager Lee Richardson felt his side were good value for their 2-1 home win over Oldham Athletic.

A Colin Larkin double gave the Spireites all three points, with Richardson feeling that more goals had been on the cards.

He said: "In the first half we were pleased with some of our football and I thought the goals were superb.

"The defending was good in the main, but we were disappointed to concede just before half-time, which made it more nervous for us.

"We should have scored more goals in the second half and we were scratching our heads and wondering how the ball didn't go in.

"In terms of chances, we created good opportunities and I don't think Oldham or their fans could have had too many objections if we had won by more."
