PFA Fans' Player of the Month: December League 1 and 2 contenders - Last chance to vote

Eoin Doyle is still the main man in League One, certainly in terms of goals, having taken his season’s tally to 20 in the recent 3-2 win against Peterborough.

The Chesterfield striker could be in big demand cum the January transfer window, and the same could well apply to Walsall’s Tom Bradshaw.

The 22-year-old Saddlers’ star was delighted to have hit double figures before Christmas having missed eight games through injury earlier in the campaign.

And he was even more thrilled to extend his tally to 14 goals in the impressive 3-0 win at MK Dons who suffered their first defeat in 13 games.

Andy Williams continues to shine for Swindon and his winner in the recent 1-0 victory over Port Vale saw the Robins fly into second place, just behind West Country rivals Bristol City.

Matt Smith (two) and Scott Wagstaff were on target in the latest City win, against Gillingham, as they head into the new year in top spot.

Billy Knott and James Hanson are both in fine form for Bradford whose nine-match unbeaten run has cemented their place in the play-off zone.

In League Two, Shrewsbury are the team of the moment and currently lead the chasing pack – thanks in no small part to the goalscoring form of James Collins.

The Shrews hit man is still three goals behind the division’s leading scorers Marc Richards (Northampton) and Matt Tubbs (Wimbledon), however.

The performances of Richards, which haven’t gone unnoticed by a number of Championship clubs, is all the more remarkable given the Cobblers’ precarious position just above the drop zone.

Oxford’s leading scorer Danny Hylton is still a fans’ favourite but teenage sensation James Roberts is threatening to take over the mantle.

Stevenage are mounting a play-off challenge on the back of three successive league wins, and Charlie Lee has been on target in each of those games. But who gets your vote?
