Niven absent for Spireites

League leaders Chesterfield will be without Derek Niven for the trip to Aldershot. The midfielder was controversially sent off as the Spireites lost their unbeaten league record at the b2net Stadium to Burton last weekend. Despite describing the red card as harsh, boss John Sheridan has decided not to appeal against the decision and Niven is suspended. Sheridan will be hoping Ian Morris, Gregor Robertson and Dean Morgan are fit enough to be considered for a start. Morris was omitted from the squad completely against Burton while Robertson and Morgan were both substitutes as they continued to step up their return from injuries. Chesterfield last won at Aldershot in September 1965 and have lost 11 of their 15 league visits since.
