Managers agree on result

Both managers agreed that Chesterfield were superior in both boxes as the league leaders won at Aldershot for the first time since 1965. Craig Davies scored his 14th goal of the season and Danny Whitaker quickly extended the lead to keep John Sheridan`s side two points clear at the summit. "Our keeper didn't really have anything to do all game and I think that tells you all you need to know about this game," said Sheridan. "This is a very good, positive result gained against a good Aldershot side and we deserved to win. I'm really pleased with how we bounced back from the disappointment of defeat last week. "Aldershot had a lot of possession but we had the better chances. Our keeper has not had a save to make all afternoon so a lot of credit must go to the back four and goalkeeper Tommy (Lee). "Craig and Danny just cannot stop scoring and we needed their good finishing as Aldershot kept the ball really well."
