Prolific Chesterfield striker Jack Lester has dismissed suggestions that he has handed in a transfer request.
Recent reports had hinted that the 32-year-old former Nottingham Forest, Grimsby Town and Sheffield United star striker had fallen out with Spireites boss Lee Richardson.
However Lester, who has found the net 30 times in only 44 first-team appearances for the club, said: "Nothing's happened like that. The rumours are a bit silly.
"If I did want to leave I'd say. I've never handed in a transfer request in my career, so if anything changed I'd come out and say that.
"I've missed games due to injury, nothing else. Obviously someone's trying to unsettle me or the club."
